For the already qualified and experienced Tennis Professionals

RPL – Qualification Equivalent

For the already qualified Tennis Professionals

This RPL Qualification pathway is for tennis coaches who have previously obtained certification (minimum of a Junior Development) through either Tennis Australia (TA), Tennis Coaches Australia (TCA) or the International Tennis Federation (ITF). For those coaches, an ATPCA qualification equivalent accreditation will be arranged and exempt from having to pay any associated RPL fee. RPL – Video Submission

For the already experienced Tennis Professionals

This RPL Qualification pathway is for experienced industry tennis coaches who do not possess a professional coaching certification. For those coaches a video submission of your coaching competencies is required to be lodged for assessment by the ATPCA RPL assessment committee to determine your level of coaching competency. If your situation falls under the RPL video submission pathway, please refer to the below Graduate and/or Advanced Pro qualification eligibility requirements to determine your ability to proceed, then Apply Now.

Graduate Pro Eligibility

Before you receive the RPL video submission guidelines from ATPCA, you need to be confident you can already satisfy the following RPL requirements.

Have a playing standard equivalent to at least ITN6 (middle intermediate competition standard).

Currently be coaching an average of 10+ hours per week.

Have a minimum 4 years coaching experience, delivering on-court group lessons to adults, juniors and kids ranging from beginner to lower intermediate playing abilities.

Possess a current First Aid Certificate and equivalent training in First Aid.

Possess a current Working with Childrens Check, Blue card or equivalent.

Successfully complete the ATPCA Graduate Pro online quiz (emailed after video submission).

If you can demonstrate achievement of the above requirements.
The next and final step in an RPL video submission application is for candidates to submit to ATPCA a video of themselves conducting a group coaching lesson with 5-6 pupils (beginner to lower intermediate playing abilities).

To proceed with an application for the Graduate Pro accreditation via RPL video submission, simply Apply Now. You will then be emailed detailed instructions to assist in your video completion.

Advanced Pro Eligibility

Before you receive the RPL video submission guidelines from ATPCA, you need to be confident you can already satisfy the following RPL requirements.

Have a playing standard equivalent to at least ITN5 (competition standard).

Currently be coaching an average of 15+ hours per week.

Have a minimum 4 years coaching experience, delivering on-court squad based lessons to adults & juniors ranging from intermediate to advanced playing abilities.

Possess a current First Aid Certificate and equivalent training in First Aid.

Possess a current Working with Childrens Check, Blue card or equivalent.

Successfully complete the ATPCA Graduate Pro & Advanced Pro online quiz (emailed after video submission).

If you can demonstrate achievement of the above requirements. The next and final step in an RPL video submission application is for candidates to submit to ATPCA a video of themselves conducting both a group based coaching lesson to 5-6 pupils and a squad based coaching lesson with 3-4 pupils (intermediate to advance playing abilities).
