The ATPCA Associate Tennis Pro Certification Course is fully recognised by Tennis Australia (TA) as in line with Tennis Australia’s Trainee Coaching Course (Frm. Community) and is the ultimate practical introduction to coaching course for the tennis enthusiast.

This course is 9 hours in duration and is available for you to attend in person out on-court or online. With no prior coaching or playing experience required to enrol, the Associate Tennis Pro Certification Course is the perfect opportunity for you to begin your introduction to coaching.

The Associate Tennis Pro Certification Course aims to develop course participants to confidently and professionally conduct:

 The delivery of modified tennis sessions & activities using smaller courts with slower red, orange and green balls to primary School aged children aged 4-12 years old.
 The role, planning and making of a good coach.
 Basic teaching of the groundstrokes and volley mechanics including knowledge of the tennis grips.
 Conventional vs modern-day lesson types & characteristics.
 An analysis of the age-related features & developmental characteristics for children aged 4-12.
 An understanding of modified (nets, balls, racquets, footprints), court dimensions & set up.

Course participants will receive an ATPCA National Associate Tennis Pro Certificate of completion and Insurance Certificate of Currency to ensure they are properly covered to industry standards.

The Graduate Tennis Pro Qualification Course aims to develop course participants to a proficient standard where they are able to confidently and professionally conduct:

 The delivery of group session based Tennis Drills, Games & Activities to Adults, Juniors & Kids of a Beginner to Intermediate playing ability.
 Effective ball feeding methods & techniques for maximum group participation.
 Essential teaching of the groundstrokes and volley mechanics including knowledge of the tennis grips.
 Elementary error detection & correction principals.
 Effective management of different pupil playing abilities within a group.
 On and off the court communication essentials.

Entry into the ATPCA Graduate Tennis Pro Qualification Course requires no prior coaching experience or qualification to enrol, we do advise that applicants have a playing standard of a ‘consistent social’ player.

Course Graduates will receive an ATPCA National Graduate Tennis Pro Accreditation Certificate, Coach License ID Card and Insurance Certificate of Currency, to ensure they are properly covered to industry standards to commence, resume or continue their coaching endeavours.
