| Playing and Coaching Profile | In 2000 I was based in Sydney Australia. While based there these are the clubs I worked for. Initially for Brendan Rose at the Cheltnham Country Club. Then The Rod Fahey Tennis Academy Finally the Vince Barclay Tennis Academy. At this academy I was involved in working with some of the states leading junior players and satellite circuit touring professionals. In 2003 I was contracted by Tennis Asia LTD to work in Hong Kong and I am currently still based here. My employer was Andy Brothers and he takes coaches from all over the globe and puts them in the most exclusive clubs in Hong Kong. Prior to being accepted coaches must have a minimum level 2 certified coaching credentials recognised by either Aus or American standards. Other criteria for coaches to work for him would be to have held a high ranking background and results as a professional player. Personally, over my career I have worked as: Senior Tennis Professional at the Hong Kong Parkview Spa and Resort. Senior Pro at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Head Pro at the Grand Hyatt Dynasty Club And for the past 4yrs senior pro at the Ladies Recreation Club These jobs have entailed: Private lessons of all standards and age. Coaching Ladies league teams Men's and Ladies morning and evening clinics Junior group coaching with a programme of over 300 kids Running of junior tennis camps in holidays Assisting in Club tournaments and social events Representing the club in the A+ Hong Kong tennis league. Winners of the competition summer and winter for the last 3yrs. Coaching in Hong Kong for the past 7yrs has exposed me to all aspects in Tennis Coaching and the diverse range of people you meet while working. Tennis and sport in general make for a great social and healthy lifestyle which I am fortunate to say my life has revolved around. |
