First to co-ordinate with Authorities, apply a framework, and implement the modern “competency based” and RPL assessment system of accreditation for tennis coaches (1997).

First to be endorsed by VETAB under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and attain Registered Training Organisation (RTO) status with the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) – (1997 to 2004).

First to be directly endorsed by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) to conduct tennis coach education (1997 to 2004). ATPCA became then the sole accredited Proponent with the ASC ( before Tennis Australia re-united with the ASC.)

First to publish a complete (420 page) Manual of tennis coaching techniques (“Supercoach”) in 1996. It was subsequently endorsed by the Australian Sports Commission and by Tennis Australia- (Later, TA with its affiliates, published their own manual).

The Australian Tennis Professional Coaches Association Ltd (known as ATPCA) is a non profit organisation of Tennis Coaches. There are currently 650 Members most of whom are/have been accredited with the Australian Sports Commission and endorsed by Tennis Australia.

The objects for which the Company is established include:

to provide organisations such as Schools, Councils, Colleges etc with qualified tennis coaches

to uphold high standards in the teaching and development of tennis.

to publish education material (including videos and DVD) for the benefit of members.

to provide members with various benefits including economical quality  insurance, magazines, sponsorships (rackets etc..), promotional material.

to encourage active participationa in all forms of tennis playing, and tennis coaching.

to apply income towards the promotion of the objects of the company.
